About: The Big Lake Fire Department was established in 1949 and currently consists of about 33 volunteer members . We have 3 stations, including our newest one on West Big Lake Blvd. Our department responds to all types of calls including structure fires, brush fires, vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents, medical calls, lift assists, power lines down and more.

The Big Lake Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department in Skagit County, Washington. Currently, we cover approximately 21 square miles of area. The population of this area is approximately 5,000 residents.
We try to get out and build a connection with the community with two parades a year.
